There are two reasons that we cannot thus change; The one, that we cannot resist that to which nature inclines us: The other, that having prospered greatly by one method of procedure, it is not possible to persuade them they can do well to proceed otherwise: whence it happens that fortune varies in a man, as it varies with the times, but he does not change his methods. The ruin of Cities (or countries) also happens from the institutions of the Republic not changing with the times, as we discussed at length above. But they (changes) arrive later (in a Republic) because they suffer more in changing, for times will come when the whole Republic will be unsettled, so that the changing in method of procedure by one man will not suffice-Machiavelli; Book 9. 

The Constitution is King. But, why has change not come to North America? Get out of de car...get out of de Anglo country. Did you know the family is the building block of society; of community and of a nation? Did you know it is a criminal offence to offer your children's lives for social authority and success? Cristobal Columbus may have as he said he needed to be the only one. The look alike for Marie Antoinette offered her daughter and son in America so she might have acceptance and authority to kill and kill again but maybe not to save people in the power offered by her authority. Cristobal Columbus eventually gave an inheritance to all of his children as available to them in Puerto Rico, Haiti or Florida. But, why would you offer your children if every North American citizen has a universal minimum income support of $70000.00 from the age of 12 years old like Japanese people and they can have this universal minimum income support? Why has change not come to America? The issue is a selfish and disrespectful venom that says "use who you can to get what you want; use people and their intellectual property. Use essays like Thomas Jefferson did but it is a criminal offence. Jefferson; he apparently re-wrote all of John Locke's essays. This is the issue but also the symptom of an America(North America) that is framed as just business. But it is also my home and ancestral hunting ground although the majority of Americans qualify as IDP's(internally displaced persons) and as refugees due to failures to implement the principles of the UDHR/OHCHR. The venom is a proud confessing and acknowledgement of ancestry and familiarity; albeit a stereotypical one on the sharp end of an American rap battle throwing down the microphone against opponents who can spiel and who offer $60000.00 per year per American as her version of a universal minimum income support. This is comparable to Japan and Russia so we will be on par in the arms race since we need human arms to hold guns and hug children in the defence of North America. In other words, the current Pres. is "down" enough and "black" enough to say your mother is soo fresh that she would make fresh sushi, fish and chips in Lewisham or a Nissan itself smell rotten in Baltimore. But, what could be more Fresh, new and exciting than a Nissan? But, if you think about it, he was framed as a racist from day one in office as Donald. He is the same person who performed a rendition of the rap song "Call me on my cell phone" on national TV; on SNL. How could he, Donald, be racist? Would he steal technology or suggestions from Black people who proposed that he set up 10 year hotel room lease agreements at $100,000.00 for a single hotel room in his chain to market the high volume of vacant rooms in the hotel business where the client could stay as long as they want? Wouldn't he find a way to reward them if not hire them?; wouldn't Obalma? He calls every Democrat, including Carter, the worst and stupid but not every Black person. He is the perfect candidate for "identity insecure" politics and he could also become the perfect candidate of "North American dignity" politics or "America Great Again" politics that will mean he will not allow those who missed their moment to drag him into a racial harangue. How can your identity be secure if you are plagiarizing people's work and stealing intellectual property? No matter what, he will always be President or Former President; just like Obalma no matter what he does before hoping to enjoy a re-election. Maybe he will be re-elected and this time without any deceitful democratic suggestion of Russian meddling to shed doubt on whether he really really won like Obalma and Brazen. But, there was no meddling. We know this. Every former and current President are honoured personae. Maybe he will use Executive authority under Executive order 13603 as signed by Obalma to ensure and gurantee the universal minimum income support is implemented across North America. He has the power to save the world; save North America I mean to say!! Maybe a Twitter account is too insecure for Presidential public policy pronouncements or as a means of automating the Press Secretary's job; even Sarjeema Journalest's office could hack it. Maybe the current President can pull it off; re election. He is white enough. Custer Or Teddy Roosevelt dna say they cannot be white but they want to be acknowledged as white; white enough but the first person in history to be called white was an Afro haired person in coastal North Africa around 2000 BC whose darker complexioned Egyptian counterpart referred to him as "white" on a trading route where the coastal North African's complexion was similar to the Chinese complexion or a Scandinavian in that century but his Afro hair texture was the same as the Egyptian's. This is why North America struggles to seize its moment of change; it's moment of greatness; a contorted confusion with double intendre and double minded dna cutting asunder to a dividing of soul and spirit that a happy red headed burger clown or red headed burger king cannot cure; where the confusion is played out on a stage of identity crisis never seen before and that could only be possible and available in America where everybody sympathises. It is refreshingly honest without the polished top McDonald's franchise style efficient obfuscation provided by the more experienced beltway politicians who had the power but did get the job done; in theory just like Truman did but the money has not come through yet to everybody's EBT account. The cards weren't issued yet. But, the current President is working on it in time for the election. Former Presidents in the year 2019 are confirming a basic income, also known as universal minimum income support, is necessary and was necessary as of 1936, 1948, 1977,2008 and today as technology removes people from jobs and jobs from the economy. Maybe he will come back in a sensational, attention grabbing, media frenzied Bachelor/Bachelorette tv show type back -slapping Vice Presidency position never seen before for a third term co presidency after a short three year break as it is Brazen for them and them alone maybe to bring change to America, enforce, guarantee and ensure a universal minimum income support for All North Americans. But, there is constitutional regulation some where preventing it if someone would take the time to find it; Article 12 actually. Obalma and Brazen could work with the majority their party has in the senate and the Congress in 2019 to earn the good will and support of the American people, the Canadians and Mexicans also with a universal minimum income support at no less than $34000.00 per year. I have no doubt, they would take back the White House in the next election if they did. But, is it only the House that they want?   their party short circuited under Hilary but now want to label a man "racist" to only take back the plantation House (White House) while they have power in Congress to solve North America's universal minimum income support problem. Only Court jesters mixed with Shakespeare dna who can spiel, with one part Custer and one part Amerindian warrior dna would hesitate to solve it when he has the power to do it as the Chief Democrat in charge with a majority of Democrats in the Senate and Congress. Let's enjoy the persona that is like an 18 year old standing on the touch down line waiting for someone to show up and take a photo before walking into promise and scoring the touch down; waiting for validation it seems and holding the team or his country ransom like Joshua, son of Moses, freezing in the moment of victory to look back and see if Moses finally showed up. There is need for change of some kind. How can North America be great again without North American people who feel great again as they drive and sit in Asian vehicles three times as often as they sit and drive in any American vehicle? What about nationalism in our respect for free markets? Maybe Ford is Allowed to sell as many vehicles as they want in Asia or maybe not. Ford is the only independent American car maker. The Asian countries have free markets but also a certain degree of nationalism to maintain some self -dignity in their home market when maybe some people anywhere in the world, including Japan, might prefer a wasteful 5.0 litre Mustang to a fuel efficient Mazda Sports car. The Free market approach in business does not apply to socio-economic policy so that three out of four humans and 3 out of 4 businesses in North America will be Asian by 2030 which is the secret plan and people in the government are being paid off apparently to achieve it. Obalma might have been Black with multiple ancestry but he was steeped in Americanism as a secure Huck Finn familiar, Lincoln quoting Celebrant of the American global creed. The real dividend of this creed is a socio-economically paralytic dna , waiting for a rescue with a subconscious hope for an end to the monstrous inconsistency as handed down by the God of America; maybe not the God of Brazil, Spain, Mexico, China, Germany, Ireland, England, Russia or Japan where they have had a dignifying universal minimum income support for decades along with the rise in the use of automation technologies. He had his moment. He can still have great success brokering the deal to get America, Canada and the United States to comply with the universal minimum income support policy for all citizens. As such the barbarism seen in the Pan English populations as their politicians resist the UDHR Article 25 commitments as required in light of Automation's displacement of human Labor is evident. They seem to believe racism and capitalism is synonymous. Anything that is non racialised, you call it socialism. Your dna is screaming for authority in two directions; the most evil perpetrators of Amerindian genocide seem to be genetically fused to the dna of the most fierce native fighters defending Amerindian dignity hoping to see your own American authority or maybe you do not remember writing the UDHR or drafting and signing the UN 2012 ILO Regulations r202 but it is your authority. Even worse, this divided dna is the reason why America lives in division. America is divided because you are divided emotionally right down to the wiring of your dna and some of you may be the living dead as dna that was cloned from the Mayflower shipwreck; the Titanic also or maybe from a sarcophagus in Egypt. The dead have risen. Maybe you kept telling brown American people to buy Asian; that Cadillac or Chevrolet was too posh for Brown people but you would help if they were...humble and bought Asian. You have given Asia your market. Your car companies, including Ford, are foreign owned. This evident barbarism in politics and economics is paralleled and also obfuscated by a barbarism in media that Horkeimer and Adorno wrote about in the Dialectics of Enlightenment but the failure of humanity in politics and economics came first in the English world and the art as seen in Anglo media imitates life. It begins with the play "Death of a Salesman" where you have a machine made product but insufficient buyers where the salesman is displaced just like the workers. You end up with the same issue in the movie American Beauty. Former auto workers regardless of complexion according to rumours tend to just disappear and new foreigners move in to their homes. Maybe in America the issue of race is the desert on the way to the promised land and you keep getting lost in this issue; going round and round like idiots forestalling change. It could be the reason why America has not achieved that unifying change in accord with the the UDHR Article 25. Maybe race is the Maypole that the entire English world is dancing around; so much so that the bright dawn of hope with non-racialised economics that aborbs automation and enjoys its market productivity and efficiencies with a universal minimum income support evades us. We embrace Asian manufacturing and Asian products but do not embrace the fulcrum of Asian economics that rests on this unconditional universal minimum income support. Without it, you burn the candle at both ends with less market and sales on one end and less Labor on the other. Less Labor is good but not less market and less sales following less labor that instantaneously means less people with money. Could it be that the majority of the English population is a living new thesis of race that is resulting in a "logic" stalemate, an industrial stalemate and an economic stalemate where the dna of this English majority regardless of complexion is one quarter native and one quarter Custer; All Over The World? Race and reparations is not the issue here but a universal minimum income support; for all Americans. Are you paying reparations to 4th generation Black Puerto Ricans or 4th Generation Ghanaians or Ethiopians who are American citizens? Reparations is a political distraction maybe confirming the Democrats already sold out to the Republicans. The universal minimum income support is for all Americans regardless of race. Reparations can be discussed and paid now or when Obalma comes back in a re run of a Different World. Custer dna is in many foods and some social drugs like LSD. He was born in Haiti. Did you know J. Kushner who used to be Therault was once convicted for killing 8 black people at 13 years old? Was there any correlation among the 8 victims? The end result is that the dna seems to attack or kill anyone who is too Genetically English or maybe too happy about good King Wenceslaus or people who  are not in personal conflict before and after prayer at the wailing wall but then again what is prayer about; see Romans 7?  Maybe they kill people who are too European in contrast to this new dominant hybrid dna's comparative self -assessment that is set on forestalling requisite changes in manufacturing and also set on forestalling the implementation of requisite economic policies. The end result is that an Asian company fills the vacuum left in the absence of any North American or English owned car company. A German conglomerate also pitches in to fill the void. There is a void in your white,black yellow and red anglo populations being filled by Asian language speaking citizens from Asia. If you were truly native and had the power, wouldnt you implement the universal minimum income support? If you were truly English or European, wouldnt you implement the universal minimum income support? But, you seem paralysed with no logical momentum going forward except for threats to abandon legal responsibility with arguments about austerity but there is no question of the austere in funding refugees before you fund your own people at rates comparable to Asia. You also threaten to abandon every other rule imposed upon you if it means, as it seems, clean water in England as well as Papua New Guinea or that black people will have not only universal health care but an unconditional universal minimum income support whether or not they are fortunate to find a job. With automation being so total, you cannot imagine every Asian is working full time. They are not but they have a universal minimum income support and their economy is vibrant. You cannot imagine that every European is working. They have a universal minimum income support. The glory of the hope of the favored six figure manufacturing job with all the perks continues in North America although it is seldom seen or heard of in Asia or Europe while everyone in their population has enough to live with dignity on their own and start a family. It seems Brexit is a running from a non-racialised Anglo present and future. Brexit is not English or European but a "amIWhiteenoughshit." You cant really leave though as a rogue EU state. You are Bosnia in the 1990's as charged for ethnic cleansing. The EU changed its mind. You can't leave. Where are you going? You don't feel at home selling off your car brands to German companies and Asian companies. Is that it! You want to go home to Swaziland or Guyana as a 2nd or 3rd generation white and find yourself before you enjoy the opportunity of wealth and the free movement of goods in your Commonwealth with a universal minimum income support for all Commonwealth nations. How is Fort Mcmurray a mass unmarked burial ground for undesirables who are apparently not legally dead if you kept their brain only alive as a "grammerly" customer service rep or writing assistant or cyber journalist? The human rights records and poor water quality in the Thames Valley since Johnson's mayoral office means we have to think about the bargain we are in and whose taxes pay for his High wire stunts, whose taxes and sales taxes pay for the whole business of politics and attention seeking behaviour. We don't know if he stole a Black man's exam books to Sign them and make them feel like his own or spit on them but why is it that some people can't get a job where they are expected..maybe just to serve chicken? Maybe you don't have to actually write exams at the University of Shireford so long as you fit in, got the look and you are given the Authority and that's okay. But, you certainly write your exams at Oxbridge. But, why make an actual graduate from another school somewhere beside or below your illustrious alma mater a focal point of your hegemony and authority; like he's some kind of biblical character running from some Babylonian occupying King where the King could just hire people just like Abednego was hired by Nebuchadnezzar? So, be the King but don't be so obvious about the fact you never finished your exam book or never owned any "Matrix" movie toys. I got the blonde Rasta twins. There's no doubt we can have a Black, a "white black" or an insecure white in office who is determined to show how he is loyal to the worst of humanity that is allegedly a sign of loyalty to white but when is white synonymous with inhumanity and ignorance?; but when will you get the life saving fulfilment of existing policies? But who would mind his antics and racial insecurity if we had $40000.00 Universal minimum income support in Commonwealth countries even if Asians have $70000.00? It is the standard practice and the policy among leading technological nations; except for the English speaking nations. This unconditional universal minimum income support is your policy and theory for the present and the future but it is not your practice. You are involved in the most improbable tug of war as you walk around subconsciously reassuring yourselves that you are white; not black as you hope to have all the violent authority the Custer dna in you says you should have as white in maybe killing anyone whose academic performance renders them, in your limited imagination as too English or too White but maybe he is Egyptian or French. In any event, it is time to ensure your theory is your practice and embrace your evident future. Automation is not going away. Now, stop drinking that Custer urine in one of your favourite lagers or your favourite hot chocolate. Laclau and Mouffe provide a greater sense of the new specificity of the political, where ideas of a ruling class are no longer the dominant or hegemonic ideology and have been replaced by a "...field of stylistic and discursive heterogeneity without a norm"; except for the UDHR 1948 as the new and only singular norm provided by the ruling classes as the dominant hegemonic ideology. This is an important consideration as the way in which political decisions are made and conflicts are resolved have begun to reflect social heterogeneity through the inclusion of new and once marginalised voices in the political process. This is the result of transformations in social relations which have provided the framework necessary for the questioning of subordinate relations and the fulfilment of existing rights that have languished in limbo for too long now,  leading to the politicization of social relations and a successful logic of fulfilment which extends itself from workers struggles and experiences with automation to struggles of women, racial, sexual, and regional minorities as they merge into a unique and indivisible struggle of all groups against technological displacement, subordination and human marginalisation as caused by technology. Through a new common sense which changes the identity of the different groups, the interests of all groups are articulated equivalently, where the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all. This is seen in the OHCHR; a recitation of universal human dignity with economic imperatives. This is essentially about civilization as emblemised in the resonant history of Londinium; a Roman settlement now called London and still remembered and celebrated by the trademark Londinium(TM) as a benchmark in anthropological interplay between the indigenous Pict and Cheddar man culture with the received Roman culture. The OHCHR is a culmination of the on going cultural interchange while also reflecting on the role automation technology has played as a received culture of sorts that celebrates us as the purpose behind its existence which is our existence; not our extermination. Did your father play with an automated gatling gun somewhat in Rwanda? In the present, there is also an attempt to depoliticise economic, social, and political decisions, making them the responsibility of experts, restricting the unnecessarily subversive nature of the democratic struggle where ignorance embodied on racism is a continued plague and issue in our humanity even after every citizen receives his universal minimum income support at the amount of $40000.00 for minimum human dignity. Any government administration that does not fulfil the requisite universal minimum income support across North America is anti-American. It all works the same, so I am told, so that you will have children but some people would wish to segregate this God given functionality but aren't we supposed to really really enjoy being one; one nation under God? This is seen in the egalitarian, hierarchical, neo-liberal defence of the free market economy, challenging the attempt to eclipse a "universal", epistemological discourse by the discourses of the resistance of marginal populations which provide the foundations for what Laclau and Mouffe have called the unguided, uninformed "democratic revolution." This Universal epistemological discourse in the defence of the free market economy is seen in the UN ILO Regulations R202; a socio-economic Apostolic Creed by which modern nations live or die; if you are a nation in the age of automation technology that displaces human beings from the work force, year after year, and this is certainly resented but it is a part of our lived experience as workers and manufacturers also. Nevertheless, the Machiavellian Prince(the spirit of, )supporting year 2000 independent Candidate Donald who is not a racist but personally, unnecessarily racially insecure like America in this summary of the sympathetic power of his magnetism as you see a percentage of his energy is turned anxiously toward physical, racial acceptance like the high percentage of the country(near 47 percent) that is part Dutch regardless of complexion but is stuck calling itself bad names instead of calling themselves "children of God" like the real Dutch, other Europeans and the Africans in the common identity with all Americans as part-Amerindian people who drank a lot of Scottish or Scandinavian urine to approximate the chosen white archetype physically but not emotionally. The Spirit of the Machiavellian Prince must hone his virtu to win the new game of the politics of inclusion; a new politics of the present(as Laclau and Mouffe demonstrate) which is not "zero sum" and which gives the subordinated the reality of improvement in the human condition while Rousseau assures us that the pursuit of the knowledge of self is still a worthy and spiritually fulfilling enterprise.

Epictetus informs us least about the present conditions. While providing us with proverbial and ecclesiastical writings, he works within a paradigm of divine reason and absolute concepts of truth; both of which have been discluded in the Postmodern discourse. Moreover, he does not provide any insight into the end of grand narratives, the decentering of the humanist subject, micropolitics, simulacrum, or any of the other characteristics of postmodernism.   The ancient concept of self in relation to the postmodern concept of self is one of great contrast. In many senses, the postmodern concept appears to be a fulfilment of the ancients warnings and fears of what would happen to men who lack the knowledge of self. To answer this question, I used Alcibiades, Epictetus, Jameson, and Kroker.   

The ancient concept of self found in Plato and Epictetus is that of a divinely rational and spiritual being which lives in conflict with his physical nature.  These theorists teach us that if a man is to live a just or right life, self knowl edge is a necessity, enabling him to take care of him self.  They also demonstrate that deception of self can only occur, leading to mistakes in life, when one is ignorant and possesses the conceit of knowledge.  A man ignorant of his own needs will fall into error and lead a life of misery. As a result, the admittance and embrace of one's ignorance is the first step one must take to acquire self knowledge.  Unless we are convicted that we do not know anything, we will continue to make errors out of a state of false knowledge.  Upon recognition of our ignorance, we can begin to inquire and to examine ourselves and our true nature.  Essential ly, knowledge of the self should bring man into acquaint ance with vir tue.   It is through the acquisition of virtue that a man will know how to take care of himself and others, pursuing a path of human develop ment that will lead to improvement as opposed to corruption.

Both Plato and Epictetus see human development as the improvement of one's soul and not as the improvement of things which one may possess.  As a result, they both express the necessity for men to make contact with that which is divine.  Plato says that a man who knows that he does not know, entrusts his affairs to a superior being which for him is God as he places faith in his divine oracle.  Although these theorists concepts of God are not the same, they both place man under the charge of the divine.  For Epictetus, man is under the charge of reason which is that part of the divine imparted to men in creation.  In their writings, there is an evident relation ship between human develop ment and self knowledge.  Man and mankind can develop so that they either improve upon their condition or become corrupted. The course of human development which one takes is dependent upon the extent of the knowledge of self which one acquires.  The knowledge of the things of this world without the knowledge of self, will result in a man pursuing knowledge to satisfy his desire for riches, power, and wealth, leading, if not balanced, to debauchery as opposed to betterment.  

If human development is simply motivated by the desire to find ways to acquire more comforts, wealth, riches, and might, it will lead to misery as men are ignorant and become increasingly ignorant through their pursuit.  As Plato said, it is "...not he who has riches, but he who has wisdom that is delivered from his misery." As a result, the soul will develop in accordance with its materialistic or its spiritual goals.

In a negative manifestation of the Ancient's concept of self, Postmodern man lives in plato's "cave" of delirium, false con sciousness, virtual reality, depraved emotion, and fragmented existence as Jameson and Kroker demonstrate.

Jameson tells us that man, as the centred subject, has been dissolved by seeking increasing efficiency, developing a postmodern world of organisational bureaucracy.  He possesses a decentered psyche and no longer experiences alienation and anxiety in addition to other human emotions but is a fragmented being where, although there is no longer a self present to do the feel ing, one can experience intensities; "...free floating and impersonal and (which ) tend to be dominated by a peculiar kind of euphoria."  These intensities are fed by man's new appetite for a world transformed into images of itself and never ending spectacles.  Postmodern society is the society of the "cave" where mental space is that of a degraded "objective spirit" and where cultural production only represents society's ideas and stereotypes about the past.  The dim fire light of Plato's cave makes it difficult to not only see and know oneself but to emerge from one's hovel and look upon the "putative real world" illuminated by the elucidat ing sun.  All that postmodern man sees is a trace of his mental images of the past and of reality upon the confining walls of the society of the simulac rum which has colonised his unconscious through media and advertising.

Assuming to know, we have become self deceived, as the ancients warned.  And by seeking to improve things as opposed to the self, we have come upon the "...ultimate contemporary fetishisation of the human body...acquiring a glossy skin, a stereoscopic illu sion."  Through seeking to relentlessly improve things and not the soul, we have crushed human life altogether through technology; that alienated power which turns back on us and against us and seems to "...Constitute the massive dystopian horizon of our collective as well as our individual praxis." The ancients warned us that if human improvement is motivated only by the attainment of comforts, it would lead to misery.  And without the knowledge of self, there is nothing left "...but that which is deplorable and reprehensible...". We fulfil our addiction to images of the past, stereotypes, or texts, removing any "...practical sense of the future and of the collective project, thereby abandoning the thinking of future change to fantasies of sheer catastrophe and inexplicable cataclysm, from visions of "terrorism" on the social level to those of cancer on the personal." As we glorify  and shape ourselves for the "Almighty" commodity, "having" could become more important than being(Debord) except for the innate inclination toward family, grouping and community instead of looking forward to imaginary tranquillity at the price of real happiness(Rousseau). Postmodernism, unlike a strange woman, does not tear down the house but builds with new technologies and with innate traditional inclination as the guide for good human society, community, nationhood and family as culminating in the UN OHCHR 1966; a guide stone of global principles as housed in America; in Manhattan.

Through virtual reality, postmodern man can buy imaginary tranquillity to evade the noise of CNN on the air 24 hours a day.  He, that is man, has become "...crash bodies always on the hunt for a new techno-thrill.", not self knowledge.  he has come to a point where he has been born into the "cave" or electronic cage of virtual reality.  He has "..always lived virtually...(where he)...have never had direct knowledge of a (natural) world outside the electronic frontier."  These observations give credence to the ancients exhortations, albeit, in a negative sense.

The self, as Kroker demonstrates, has become virtual such that it is purely aesthetic, disappearing into the "...electronic vortex of the floating self (and) is finally liberated of (fixed) identity, of determinate gender, of (localised) history, and of (bodily) subjectivity...which means the triumph of illu sion...(while)...the virtual self...vanishes down the electronic highway from nothing to nowhere."

Postmodern man is the willing practitioner of this new world of the floating self, spasm, and of organs without bodies as he accepts and pursues the material promises of this world which purport maximum informa tion, wealth and mobility, but which, in fact, give us little under standing and (lead to) alienated masses harmonious ly dependent on elite command centres.  

This new virtual experience has given us a techno-skin and has shut down a whole range of human experiences, replacing them with thrills and intensities as Jameson concurs.  We have come to a historical place where technology is the latest and most grisly manifestation of Nietzsche's will to power, leaving the self as a torn and fragmented victim.  Nevertheless, Kroker says that to "Know your self" is still an attainable goal but that self recognition is not so much about knowing the self but about becoming aware and "...discovering anew the shock of the real."  It is about walking out of the "cave" of the electronic cage of virtual reality and into the real (if not the natural) world.  Yet, as the ancients say, the knowledge of self is a process of training of the spirit as an athlete trains the body for competition.  It begins with awareness and awareness begins with the acceptance of ignorance and, in the postmodern, the shock of the real. So let it be that man leaves the illusions of the simulacrum, the "cave", and of virtual reality so that he may begin to pursue knowledge without assuming to know and hopefully realise a new humanity not filled only with the "hope" of catastrophe and holocaust but improvement within the human condition. Technological change is a constant. Maybe technology will enable us to swap brains and bodies ; maybe a dog brain with a human body and you could pretend that we are holding God and his profound insight into human nature ransom; hostage. Human life, it's value and it's safety is also a constant. As such, we shall not be afraid of change. Yet, it is good for us to be informed by the natural inclination to achieve family reproduction, human reproduction and, essentially, population regeneration with technology assisting in some small way from time to time. Population regeneration is a fundamental necessity for every community and economy. We are now also informed by the UN ILO Regulations R202 dated in 2012(the strong voice, will and intention of the ruling classes) that reflects upon technological change, it's impact on human life, shared global economies and the continued importance of human dignity. The need for traditional sources of guidance and innate inclinations remain as sign posts along the spiritual and emotional superhighways even when we do not allow Amorphous social and societal tradition alone as tossed by the prongs of media influence to inform us. Such societal tradition will, however, always involve the immutable truths of ancestral religion, commandments and creeds with various books of faith to influence, lead and guide our Safe, secure direction. I just have one question; why is a Shepherd's staff carried traditionally by a biblical leader or a European Saint such as St. Patrick St. Nicholas called a "stab" in German and his gown is called an "umHang"?
